The Concrete Initiative is Official Partner of the New European Bauhaus

Brussels, 08/06/2021 – The Concrete Initiative (TCI) is pleased to announce it has been approved as an Official Partner of the New European Bauhaus, an EU initiative and vision for a sustainable built environment based on the Green Deal objectives.

Since 2014, the TCI engages with stakeholders on the issue of sustainable construction, and in particular the barriers and solutions to harness its multiple benefits (environmental, economic and social).

As a key contributor of construction materials and solution provider for the construction sector, the TCI will commit to the New European Bauhaus Initiative notably by drafting a manifesto of the concrete sector outlining our contribution to the Initiative and by organising its annual event, the 2022 Concrete Dialogue, around the new European Bauhaus objectives (beauty, sustainability and affordability of buildings).

Concrete was an essential component of the historic Bauhaus and our associations believe it will continue to play a key role in the New European Bauhaus by bringing answers to the challenges of the present: net-zero carbon, circular construction and digital transformation.
We look forward to working together with the construction value chain and citizens living in the built environment to rethink the way we live and connect people through beautiful, green, innovative and inclusive design.
