The Concrete Initiative welcomes new European Parliament!
On 26 November, The Concrete Initiative met with newly elected Members of the European Parliament in Strasbourg.
This event, kindly hosted by UK MEP Julie Girling, offered the opportunity of raising awareness about this initiative and identifying areas of interest to MEPs. With 16 MEPs and 11 Assistants present at the event, The Concrete Initiative provided an overview of the challenges facing modern society. European citizens need safe, affordable and resilient housing and infrastructure. In addition, growth and jobs needs to be stimulated in order to navigate Europe out of the current crisis. Finally, energy efficiency and low carbon solutions are key if we are to reduce our impact on the environment. All of these issues are being tackled by The Concrete Initiative in dialogue with key stakeholders at EU level.Photo album
